BI-MONTHLY BUILD CHALLENGE: REVAMPED PILLAGER TOWER!

It’s time again, for our wonderfully talented community to give us the ol’ razzle dazzle through their feats of block engineering! The theme for this build challenge is Revamped Pillager Tower, and these submissions knocked our socks off.

What is a pillager tower, you ask? Well, it’s a place of dastardly deeds that pillagers have constructed that contains an alluring loot chest at the top level. It’s an ominous structure, as both pillagers and pillager captains can continue to spawn around it, so we thought we’d ask the community to give the tower a little makeover. Perhaps it’ll be less foreboding!

Participants had to deliver a decently sized creation, work by themselves without partnering with others, and really do a true revamp.

1^st place: Totacobell

With a shot that contains crepuscular rays and a super cool lens flare, this submission by Totacobell is fantastic. I love how imposing the tower is, out there with the forest surrounding the base, creeping up ever so slightly. Plus, you can’t ever go wrong with giant torches on each side. 

2^nd place: sander

Back at it again, sander continues to wow with their submissions. This time, it’s a spectacular series of pillager towers forming a fortress set against a rocky cliffside. The mountain itself is 250 blocks tall, with the main building in the outpost being another 150 blocks tall. Truly a sight to behold. 

3^rd place: GracefulPlatypus

Taking us to a relaxing, Asian-inspired escape, GracefulPlatypus lures us in with their pillager tower. While totally unassuming with a peaceful waterfall, Sakura blossoms, and ornate pagoda roofing, one would be admiring the sights without realizing they were in danger!
