Clover Network Nuke - Context

EditorialPublished August 15, 2023Byシリアル-V

The article explained that Clover Network’s collapse began after reports of extreme staff harassment and bigotry led I3 to leave the team, publicly condemn the situation, and eventually take ownership in an attempt to remove toxic staff and stabilize the server. Shortly afterward, Clover was nuked by the utility bot ECHO, which spammed the server with pings and promotional links, turning the incident into a wider community controversy that was still unfolding.

Clover Network Staff Drama

I3, the owner of Gladiator Network, The Official Realm Hub, and other servers, was sent pictures of Clover Network (a large MCBE server) staff members harassing someone in an absurdly bigoted manner. I3 immediately left the Clover Network staff team with a fiery and passionate staff announcement.

The Takeover

Jackxx demoted the toxic staff members, but DogPeeps later reinstated them, saying he will not "let some furry get [his] staff demoted." I3 started spreading the word, and DogPeeps decided to sell Clover Network to I3 in an attempt to save his network's popularity. He gave I3 ownership (I3 did not pay him), and with the help of Tom (tizxzl), I3 began removing toxic and homophobic staff members, including an ex-founder, and making plans, even when DogPeeps demanded ownership back.

ECHO Nukes Clover Network

The latest piece of this story just happened a few minutes ago. The staff team of ECHO, a utility bot associated (but not completely) with Clover Network's former ownership, nuked Clover Network with a malicious bot. It is not exactly clear who did this, though the development team seemed aware of and content with it.

Clover Network is currently converted to a bunch of channels called #nukedbyecho, where the bot spammed @e pings and the link to the ECHO Discord server.

This is still a developing story. We will see what comes of it soon.
