It’s time for Lunar New Year, meaning it’s time for horses... wait, what? Is that correct? Yes, it’s true! 2026 is the Year of the Horse, which comes with fresh new opportunities, and lots of energy! But that doesn’t mean you have to strap on a saddle and start jumping hurdles. But hopefully you’ll join us as we celebrate Lunar New Year!
Between February 17, 10am PST and February 24, 10am PST, we’ve put together a curated selection of themed items from Minecraft Marketplace, perfect for festive times (and also a freebie!)

There are over 50 items to browse during the Lunar New Year celebrations, but I wanted to highlight some of them (because I just don't have time to go through ALL of them, sadly).
World + Skin Pack: Land of the Dragon by King Cube
Dragons are more or less flying horses. A bold, factual statement (just go with it, as I don’t have any other segue), but a true one. If you love horses dragons, this world is smack full of them! Find, tame, and collect ten dragons. Fight the most epic of bosses and discover tons of secrets!

If you were to pick any other favorite animal besides horses, I assume it’s tigers. That’s what I thought. Sadly, most of us are not tigers, but you can now dress up as one, flaunting stylish stripes, cute fearsome noses, all wrapped up in youthful style, packing plenty of attitude – just like real tigers!
Skin Pack: Chinese Opera HD by LinsCraft
My dream has always been to hit that High C. So far, results have... varied, but my next bet is to become a prominent Chinese opera star. And with this pack, we can all, at least, dress the part. These are classic, Chinese opera ensembles, so all you have to do is suit up, and take the stage!

Mash-Up: Chinese Garden Mash-up by LinsCraft
If you crave serenity (I do, I do, I do!), then there’s nothing more serene than a Chinese garden. This mash-up will not just boost your calmness but also your creativity as you build your own garden. There is lots of furniture, bonsai trees, and skins to put on as you take one of your tranquil morning strolls.

Whooooaaa, calm down horsey, I’ll get you your carrot. Oh, sorry about that, but horses are apparently my life now, having awoken the dormant horse whisperer within me. But that won’t distract me from celebrating Lunar New Year between February 17, 10am PST and February 24, 10am PST wishing you all good luck and fortune for the rest of the year and a sunny spring!
