Marketplace Content: January 2026

It’s 2026 – and we all know what that means! It’s time to do a complete overhaul of my already chaotic interesting life.

We humans seem to have a sort of inherent craving to become better, happier, faster, smarter starting January 1. And who am I to refuse the flow of the tide and to childishly say “no” when others are improving?

Therefore, I’m entering “yes mode” going forward hoping that I, too, shall improve. By using this month’s 19 new pieces of content in Marketplace Pass and Realms Plus, hopefully I’ll level up every aspect of my life.

Let’s evolve!

Add-On: Realism VFX 1.3 Add-On by Spark Universe

The first step on my improvement journey begins with this wonderful pack, where the Overworld looks stunning – and more realistic than ever! Ergo, I’m to become a much more outdoorsy person, relishing things such as dynamic lighting, energizing sunlight, soaring birds, soothing falling leaves, hopeful meteor showers, and glimmering fireflies – all found in Realism VFX! In Sweden there’s a saying: “there’s no bad weather, only bad clothes” (you don’t have to agree, but we say it, okay), and with that in mind I’ll also happily experience the cooling blizzards and life-changing sandstorms in this pack. I feel invigorated and improved already!

Add-On: CAVE DWELLER Add-On (Official) by XP Games

Fear is man’s greatest adversary. Therefore, I must conquer my fear, as part of my new “2026 me”. And there’s nothing more frightening than the Cave Dweller! This creature isn’t your basic mob, lumbering around without any sense of direction. Oh no, no, no, this is like a nightmare, fueled by a horror focused AI that learns, adapts, and improves how it can stalk and scare you. Everything from its animations, sounds, and music is constructed with one sole purpose: to scare the living daylights out of me help me improve and overcome my fear! So thankful.

Store-bought apples and cauliflower are sooooo 2025. Let’s put on a straw hat, become an early riser, and grab a hoe. With tons of crops to grow (including corn, eggplants, strawberries, and chilis to name a few) and tools like watering cans and scythes, you can create the farm of your dreams. Once you’ve harvested your crops, you can use them to cook mouthwatering, nourishing dishes. There’s also a tractor that’ll make the farm life easier for you, which you can customize as you see fit. Finally, there’s a dirt bike for when you want to take a break from all that honest work.

Texture Pack: Faithless by CubeCraft Games

Like many others, I use my phone to doomscroll update myself on foreign policies, and the world economy. But no more! There’s a whole (Over)world out there, and this colorblind-friendly pack overhauls it with beautiful blocks, adorable textures, and cool mob variants! Fantastic, I say, nay, sing! Jump in, and discover a world beyond the screen (well, beyond the small, scrolly one) – I know I will.

Add-On: AsianCraft Building Add-On by RareLoot

Who are you truly if you haven’t taken an interest in other cultures? My next improvement step is to turn my gaze towards Asia, with this add-on that focuses on Eastern architecture. With more than 2,200 new blocks, you can create temples, enjoy some sushi, or just embrace utmost serenity, surrounded by calming plants. Create the temple you want and decorate it as you see fit – perhaps a panda statue or some lamps to cast an atmospheric glow. If you want to choose wood or stone is up to you, as long as you (just as I will) find beauty and possibility inside your very own Asian Temple.

There you go, I’m improving more than I’ve ever done before! But this is not my final form! I’ve found these skin packs, and with ONESIES by Pixelusion, I’ll not just become warm and fuzzy, but also be more prepared for any slumber parties coming my way. And using Sweet Bunny Skin Pack by CupcakeBrianna, I can finally learn about jumping, eating carrots, and overall become more approachable (as everyone wants to hang out with bunnies – right?).

But enough cuteness! It’s time to reach my final form with this month’s Character Creator items, unearthing my dormant dark ice persona. To be honest, I’m somewhat unsure what that entails, but it doesn’t matter. This is the new me, and I love it!

I hope I’ve instilled some inspiration and hope in all of you, as you can now see how well I’ve adjusted to the possibilities that 2026 brings. I’m not at all tired from weathering blizzards, running from cave monsters, getting up at the crack of dawn to rev up the tractor, being away from my phone, decorating my temple, or wearing freezing ice clothes. I’m just happy with the new me!

Okay, lesson learned: stick to ONE New Year’s Resolution, as too many can feel a tad... much, until then: enjoy this first year’s batch of Marketplace Content!
