New on Java Realms: Interview with a mob

Published: October 30, 2025 - View official source

October – publicly recognized as the spookiest month of all! Doing the seasonal spirit justice, I have managed to land an interview with three of the creepiest mobs (none of them creepers) in Minecraft. Yes, they happen to be plushies, and yes, they talk to me, but only me for some reason? They will play through our latest release of maps and give us their spookiest take. Give it up for Wilbur the Wither, Gwendolyn the ghast, and uh... Joe the Enderman!

How do I play the new Java Realms maps?

Boot up Minecraft on your device of choice, then find "Minecraft Realms" in the starting menu. Press the “Configure” button, then choose the “Reset World” option on the Realm slot you’re ok with overwriting (or use the “Minigame” slot for minigames). Now you can pick the map you want to play from the corresponding categories!

ADVENTURE: ADVENTURES OF T.DEE AND T.DUM

by Team Scripted

Two players sitting in front of a campfire.

“Adventures of T.Dee & T.Dum” is a two-player adventure, putting you in charge of the two titular homunculi, trapped in a dark underworld with seemingly no way out. Thankfully, they complement each other well, with unique abilities that you’ll discover as the game progresses, and you get closer to your escape! Thoughts, Wilbur?

Wilbur’s left head: "Oh, I had so much fun with this one! My character had the ability to turn into a ball, and then Rightie can become a platform I can roll on!"

Wilbur’s right head: "The character I played could also become tall, so I could lift Leftie up to reach areas we couldn’t get to before!"

Wilbur’s middle head: "Uh, it looked fun to play, I guess..."

ADVENTURE: ANTITHEIST

by MrKisiel

A player walking along a very long bridge in Minecraft.

“Antitheist” is a first-person shooter adventure, where you start out in this dystopian world where technology has run rampant and needs to be stopped – and you’re the only one who can do it!

Gwendolyn the ghast: "Aaaaaahhhehaaeaahahhahahaheaaaa!!!!!"

Oh, c’mon Gwendolyn, it’s not that scary! As you defeat the machines, you can use their weapons against them, and while beating all 19 levels on the highest difficulty would give you infinite bragging rights amongst your map afficionado friends, there’s also a casual difficulty that’s easier to start with!

Gwendolyn the ghast: "Eeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhiiiiaaaehhhh!!!"

Alright, full disclosure here – I wanted to get Constance (my creaking plushie) for this one, but when we sent transportation to get them to the studio, they wouldn’t get in the car and were just standing completely still while maintaining eye contact with the driver. This is the last time I’m working with amateurs!

MINIGAME: WHO IS IT AGAIN?

by Tofetta, TrefleA4, & 82xp

“Who Is It Again?” is a minigame for four players, where the name of the game is, well, I just told you – but also uniformity! We have the classic hide and seek setup, but the one hiding has multiple clones of themselves, and if you manage to trick the seeker into picking your clones enough times, they lose! What do you think, Joe?

Joe the Enderman: "Oh, I get this all the time. Mike picks up a grass block, zaps out, I zap in, and all of a sudden everybody thinks it was me. I tell you, some people think all Endermen are one and the same, can you believe it?"

Oh yeah, no that sounds awful – thankfully, you can join the opposite team, as no doubt your perceptiveness will pay dividends in ensuring you can spot the impersonator from a mile away!

Joe the Enderman: ."..and another thing! We’re not all scared of water, for instance my buddy Brian..."

Alright, I think we’re ready to wrap it up. If only the check for the Wallace the Warden didn’t bounce...
