Hey there! 

My name is Nadja and while our usual resident Java Realms expert Oskar Thysell looked away, I decided to sneak in and hijack this month's release of Java Realms maps (Hi mom!!)

It also happens to be my final month as the Content Moderator for the Java Content Creator program! So, before I go, let me leave you with something! Like many of you, I started out as a huge Minecraft fan with a long-time dream of one day defeat the Wither I accidentally set free in the End getting to work at Mojang. It's truly been a dream come true and an experience that went beyond anything I expected. Before I hang up the ol’ pickaxe and head out of the Mojang office portal here in Stockholm for my new adventures, I really wanted to leave you with my top picks for this month's release (preferably before Oskar realizes I hi-jacked the series)!

I think this batch has something for everybody! 

 

How do I play the new Java Realms maps? 

Boot up Minecraft on your device of choice, then find Minecraft Realms in the starting menu. Press the “Configure” button, then choose the “Reset World” option on the Realm slot you’re ok with overwriting (or use the “Minigame” slot for minigames). Now you can pick the map you want to play from the corresponding categories! 

ADVENTURE: ANAGLYPH

ADVENTURE: XALEEM’S BATTLE OF THE BANDS

In this map, you start out with a faithful trumpet that has the power to shred your enemies with sick notes. You also collect coins to buy upgrades and new instruments to aid you in your journey through dungeons as you fight your way back to the Overworld. And don't worry, no IRL-musical skills are required here!

If this build feels familiar to you, you might just be right, but now you can finally look at it yourself on Realms!
