New on Realms: Phobiaphobia

Published: October 25, 2024 - View official source

Why was six scared of seven? Heptaphobia – the fear of the number seven! Today we are going to venture into the world of phobias, which there are many more than one would imagine (if you have nomatophobia, the fear of names, please don’t look towards the upper left of this text blurb). As with hippopotomonsrosesquippedaliophobia (the fear of long words), it seems our mental health experts have decided exposure is the best therapy, so today’s release will focus on curing your ailments by confronting them headfirst. I will, however, avoid triggering your macrophobia (fear of long waits) and jump right into it!

SHADOW OF THE SKELETON KING

by pigwa, TheWorfer27, & eepyhana

Gameplay trailer for Shadow of the Skeleton

I doubt there is a worse way to wake up than confined to a cell in the basement of skeletal nobility (with accompanying shadow to boot). Making your escape and confronting the titular nemesis will be hard, but thankfully beneath the ranks of regality there are both chefs and librarians of the skeletal variety that will help you out on the journey by giving you a leg up; hold the flesh!

Play to confront: Kakorrhaphiophobia (the fear of defeat) - you will not beat any of the bosses on this level on the first try!

FRIGHT NIGHT FASHION

by Pigwa, Hana, Interwall, Leroid, Scorp, & Worf

The grid of a neighborhood seen from above

Have you ever wanted to be a fashion icon? Then Fright Night Fashion will take that dream and completely crush it. Your successful attempts at wooing the villagers of this mini game (in order to score some sweets) will diminish next to their snide, disparaging comments about your wardrobe choices for the occasion. Pretty judgmental and bold coming from a mob that has been wearing the same clothes since 1.14...

Play to confront: Catagelophobia (fear of being ridiculed) or doxophobia (fear of receiving praise) as there is no neutrality in these villagers!

BAROSA’S HOUSE OF HORROR

by TheWorfer27 & Twelfth115

Gameplay trailer for Barosa's House of Horror

Barosa has invited you and your friends into his house for a relaxing evening of solving puzzles together! What the theme of the night is? Horror, why do you ask? Oh, and I should probably tell you that these puzzles are more of a you're-trapped-and-need-to-find-an-escape-route-before-they-kill-you type of puzzle. Sounds fun! The most treacherous amongst your friend group will be selected to play the role of Barosa, while the rest of you have a head-scratcher that might turn into a head-chop-off-er unless you solve it quick enough!

Play to confront: Barosaphobia (the fear of being whacked in the head by an oversized axe wielded by a Minecraft mob)
