Our Marketplace Picks: September 2019

239! Not only are they the three digits I use as most of my passwords – it’s also the number of maps, skins, and worlds that we released to the Minecraft Marketplace in September. Wait, why am I telling you my passwords again? Please forget that you ever read this!

Navigating through this sea of neverending content can be quite a challenge for someone like myself and my terrible taste. This is why we have Mojang’s very own superheroes – the content team – always ready to offer guidance to any player willing to learn more about the maps, skins, worlds (and more!) available in the Minecraft Marketplace. The content team just loves to provide us with recommendations, and who are we to resist them? Take it away, Sara and Oskar!

Farmcraft

Running your own farm is tough! Not only does it require both patience and skill to tend to your farm – you also need a fundamental understanding of the business! In Razzleberries’ Farmcraft, you train these qualities and abilities, as you take control of your own farm to sow, grow, harvest and organize custom crops to make money! And who doesn’t love money? But you don’t need to hear this from me, what does a man of the city like Oskar think about Farmville?

I’m sure it could Oskar, but since I’m a creative writer, and not a gameplay developer, I suggest you bring it up with anyone but me! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m busy drooling over all the crops at Farmcraft’s Marketplace page (‘Per, that’s really grim and breaking several food safety standards’ – concerned members of the minecraft.net editorial team).

Caverns of Chaos

Don’t you just hate it when you end up building your village on top of an ancient fortress, full of corrupted monsters, puzzling mysteries, and plotting pillagers lurking within its cavernous dungeons? Happens all the time! It doesn’t make it any less of a problem though, which is obvious in 4J Studios’ “Caverns of Chaos”. Here, you have to fight your way through five sprawling dungeon floors and three challenging bosses, all to save the village from certain destruction, and free the ten poor villagers trapped within the underground fortress. So what did Sara think of this adventure beneath the ground?

Scary Clowns

Normal clowns are scary. Intentionally scary clowns then? Absolutely terrifying! Why the content team would recommend Lifeboat’s IT-inspired horror adventure “Scary Clowns” is beyond me. But it must be worth the pathetic screams from me if it’s good enough to earn a spot on this list! In “Scary Clowns”, scary clowns (surprise!) have taken your friend Jimmy, and the only way to get him back is to follow the trail of candy into a vast sewer system beneath the city. There, you have to search far and wide, and battle clowns, rats, crocodiles, and other strange things in order to survive. Sara was bold enough to play through the adventure.

Halloween is almost upon us, so what better way to celebrate it with some hair-raising exploration? Learn about “Scary Clowns” on its Marketplace page – if you’re brave enough!
