The rowdy possibilities of Chaos Cubed with friends

Published: June 22, 2026 - View official source

Like many siblings around the world, I have an urge to engage in some light-hearted, competitive rivalry with my sister. This urge makes me compete fiercely, whether we are playing board games, breaking into spontaneous snowball fights, or engaging in debates on whose hoodie is this, actually. The new Chaos Cubed drop presents many tantalizing opportunities to test our mettle. I can finally stage a whole Olympic games style event on our realm and invite a bunch of friends to witness my inevitable victory! And could some of those games include lobbing magma and TNT infused sulfur cubes at one another? Yes, please!

But when drafting invitations to this grand tournament, I started to feel like it was lacking a final category with big enough stakes (yes, in addition to the explosive TNT sulfur cubes).

Then, it hit me. Historically, there have been some pretty great archeological rivalries. Why not conclude our Chaos Cubed games with a competitive dig?

So, here’s what I’m planning. Me, my sister, and a bunch of friends will start on a brand-new private Minecraft realm. Spawning into a fresh world and splitting into two teams, we’ll instantly get to work gathering resources and building supplies. Then, both teams will set out to find sulfur caves. Whichever team returns first from the caves and builds a mighty cinnabar monument as proof of their subterranean adventures… wins eternal sibling bragging rights! Hooray!

And no-one said it was forbidden to cook up a little chaos to distract to other team along the way…

But you know what would make this expedition-battle – or any expedition, for that matter – even more amazing?

Eternal Caves add-on

What lies beneath? Well, you might already know these subterranean biomes: the lush caves, the dripstone caves, and the deep dark. With the Chaos Cubed drop, the sulfur caves join the family.

But with the Eternal Caves add-on by Panascais, you gain much more than that. There are a whopping 22 (!) new cave types to discover, filled with unique critters, monsters and bosses. You’ll find ancient dungeons and subterranean villages while fielding through various weather effects.

There are even dwarves. Because like buttery spread on warm toast, dwarves and their long, braided beards feel at home in mines. Some things are just meant to be!

AdventureCraft add-on

But wouldn’t it be cool to meet those dwarves in a fantasy-flavored Minecraft experience? If you want your realms to have a real fantasy-adventure fix, look no further than the AdventureCraft add-on. Among the other things it adds to your game (spells, magical weapons, dungeons, fantasy-flavored bosses), you can ride a dragon.

Imagine: I could be hurling TNT at my sister from dragonback. Dreams really do come true!
