It’s October, which means it’s almost Halloween, which means if I don’t hurry up and plan a costume I’ll once again have to dress up as a mega-cool Minecraft writer… Enough to scare most people, I know, but with the trick-or-treat route the Realms Plus team has planned for us this month, I’m gonna need something even more iconic. Something to wow the inhabitants of a haunted mansion, the bloodthirsty zombie pirates, and whatever else we meet when knocking on these DLC doors! Get your Halloween skin packs on, and let’s haunt some new neighborhoods for treats!

I’m terrified of the dark. There! I said it. So, my plan is to blend in with the creepy monsters and make them think I’m one of them. And what’s spookier than the mobs of the deep dark? I’m getting chills just thinking about it!

With the trick-or-treat route we’ve got planned, a hazmat suit might not be a bad idea. Better safe than sorry!
Playing dead is a very useful skill in these spooky times, and none do it better than the axolotls. Hats off and crowns on for them.
Come to think of it, since gaming doesn’t exist in the Overworld, maybe what will scare these mobs the most is if we dress up as gamers aka evil puppeteers who can control their lives? Mwuuuahahaha!
I think the Overworld deserves a Halloween costume too. Give your space a makeover with these 16 fantasy and medieval themes.
Trick-or-treat route
You've got your costume, now let's knock on some DLC doors and see what hides behind them!
Time to knock on our first door, and it wouldn’t be Halloween without a haunted mansion riddled with traps and secrets, now, would it? Just try avoiding getting lost – or worse, locked inside…
Next stop and we’re surrounded by mutants! And not the dressed-up-for-Halloween-kind but the ones who want to rip you in two pieces and look very capable of doing so. Better craft some new weapons, jump on our saber-toothed steed, and try to fight these giant death traps. Luckily, it’s a tiny world. Just kidding, it’s massive.
Ah, finally a place with not only treats but real treasure! Get practicing your sea shanties because you’re about to board a pirate ship and sail into the depths of a zombie-filled curse! Learn the tricks of pirates as you set out on a swashbuckling journey to uncover the secrets brimming under the surface…
Hmmm… I feel a bit strange. Must be the candy. Or wait, do I look different? I feel like… a mob? I AM A MOB! And I have their abilities too! Imagine all the jump scares I’ll pull off with Enderman teleportation! Not to mention creeper explosions…
There’s always that one neighbor with way too many pets. 27 different breeds and too many animals to count! Hang on, is this your place?
I love it when you go trick-or-treating and the one who opens the door is a fire-breathing dragon and you tame it, then fly off on an adventure to find the lost dragon island. Don’t you?
Knock-knock! Who’s there? Just a zombie apocalypse. But maybe you knew that since you knocked on the door to the bunker to hide from them. Let’s hope the owners invite you in!
Did the zombies bite you? Because all of a sudden, you’re ginormous! Or maybe all the mobs are teeny tiny? Either way, riding a donkey has never looked cuter.
In hindsight, we probably should have visited this place first as you can craft custom hearts that protect you from the dangers in the night. Like explosions.
And on that note, we end this trick-or-treat route with a TNT bang! Or twenty.
