Smurfs DLC

Which smurf are you? There are oodles to choose from, and in the new Smurfs DLC by Paramount and Shapescape you’re able to become blue (only literally, hopefully), put on your white hat, and just chill in the village free from any type of peril fight to stop Gargamel and save your fellow smurfs!

The Smurfs DLC is available now at Minecraft Marketplace and I for one will not only play this brand-new adventure to explore, and meet other smurfs, but also to see if I can unearth my inner smurf!

I asked which smurf my fellow colleagues felt they resembled the most, let’s see what they said...

Smurfing the village

The Smurfs DLC is all about smurfing, meaning that you explore the tranquil Smurf village and meet Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and Hefty Smurf to see what they’re up to. As you explore the village and socialize with the smurfs, keep an eye out for coins. Gather them all and you can buy new customization options and style your smurf. Why not put on Papa Smurf’s red hat or some snazzy glasses? Or perhaps a brainy book to flaunt as you take a breezy stroll.

Time to rescue smurfs

It’s not all smurf and games in the Smurfs DLC! Well, there are games, but in the form of a very serious rescue mission. The ever-evil Gargamel has captured your fellow smurf friends, and now it’s up to you to step into the portal, and rescue them and restore the tranquility by completing these three mini-games:

Fight Gargamel in a one-on-one potion battle where you must dodge Gargamel’s barrage of magical brews. Use mushrooms as shields and a means to fight back, as they fling potions back at the evildoer himself. But beware, not all potions have the same effect, as some might heal and some might cause damage.

Gargamel’s cat, Azrael, has captured one of your friends. To free the imprisoned smurf, you need to sneak like you’ve never snuck before! Can you untie the ropes used to suspend the prison cage above ground and do it without Azrael spotting you? Make sure to not step on the noisy branches scattered about!

In this parkour-inspired game, you have to master the double-jump, overcome obstacles, blow up new passages and make it all the way to the end of this treacherous cave where your fellow smurf is waiting for you to rescue them!

Become a smurf

To inch even closer to your inner smurf, you can now sport this free Character Creator item – the Smurf Hat! In the Dressing room, this smurf classic awaits you, so put it on and channel the smurf you want to be!

Still, a Smurf Hat might not always be enough when you want to go full blue, but then this Smurf skin will do the trick!

It’s also free and available in the Dressing room!

Get smurfing

To smurf is smurf, but to smurf is smurfing. Don’t you agree? I know I do! And if you agree, then get smurfing in the Smurfs DLC, and smurf your very best to smurf the village, smurf all the coins, smurf the scoreboard, meet other smurfs, and, of course, smurf.
