Our Spooky Showcase Challenge has come to a spooktacular close! In this challenge, we invited our Affiliates to create and submit YouTube Shorts that featured at least three of the seven uncanny add-ons in our Spooky Spotlight.* We wanted to highlight the myriad frights to be found within (and trust us, there are many).
On the eve of the Spooky (Spotlight) Season, we received the submissions - and might we say, we were indeed spooked. Here are our haunting top picks!**
Best Storytelling: Giro789 - Don't BUY FRIENDS on the INTERNET
The apocalypse is better with company… right? See for yourself. For our Best Storytelling award, we were looking for a creator who delivered both an engaging and compelling narrative while showcasing the featured Marketplace content. This short has it all - twists, turns, and one murderous friend.
Best Add-On Showcase: TheHappyWheels - It's Spooky Season On The Minecraft Marketplace!
This award went to the short that we felt best showcased gameplay mechanics and features of the included add-ons. In their video, TheHappyWheels takes us on an informative (and ill-advised?) tour of multiple new environments found in three of the featured add-ons. Gorgeous gardens. Scenic subterranean caves. A quaint fishing village. What could go wrong? Well, it’s not about where you are, but what lurks there with you…
Most Creative Concept: Poneiiro - Juntei os 3 Add-Ons MAIS ASSUSTADORES no mesmo mundo!
We loved the creative framing of this short: a confessional session with a doctor, dissecting some seriously scary dreams. Surely, that should help soothe the mind…? Well, at least it netted Poneiiro the award for the Most Creative Concept!
How much lingering trauma will you have from playing all these scary add-ons? There’s only one way to find out: get out there and try them for yourself!
