Superman DLC

Published: September 9, 2025 - View official source

Have no fear, Superman is here! Well not here, but in Minecraft because the Superman DLC by DC Studios and Oreville is out now on Minecraft Marketplace.

So put on your cape and tights, apply a generous amount of hair gel, and go faster than a speeding arrow as you save the Overworld Metropolis from villainous Lex Luthor as he’s trying to take over the world (again).

The evil plan

In this DLC, Lex Luthor is opening a shelter for lost puppies, providing food, shelter, and love. HA! Of course, that’s not what he’s doing. No, no, no, he’s doing evil stuff, as per usual.

More specifically, he’s orchestrating a most disturbing scheme, perhaps his most disturbing scheme yet (and there’s not a puppy in sight). But Lex is no fool, he knows that Superman constantly foils his masterplans, so to keep the cape-clad avenger (you) occupied, he’s stirring ruckus in Metropolis so that he can work in peace.

To unravel the mystery and save Metropolis, you'll have to swoosh through the air, punch, beam, and freeze your enemies, crack puzzles, and if you ever need any help, you can always ask Daily Planet intrepid reporter Lois Lane.

A super world

The world of Superman holds many iconic locations, and in this DLC you’ll explore some of the most well-known places. Well not Krypton, because Krypton exploded and that’s why Superman ended up on Earth, right?

Fortress of Solitude

This is your hub world, where you’ll choose which mission to take on, relish the collectibles you’ve gathered, and kick back between bouts with monstrous monsters and villainous villains. It’s also where you’ll play around with Krypto, your trusty Superdog!

Metropolis

Few cities are in danger as often as Metropolis, but very few also have their own Super Hero. In Metropolis, you could munch down on pizza, go to the movies, or shop for new socks, but you’re playing as Superman, and must instead focus on the perils that this city constantly seems to attract. The citizens are in grave danger, and only you can save them, so get to work! Rumor has it, you might find some collectibles in the process...

LuthorCorp

LuthorCorp is (surprise) the homebase of Lex Luthor (Corp Lutherson lives elsewhere) and the place where that megalomaniac forges his sinister plans. It’s not only been awarded Most Evil Workplace 2025, it’ll also act as the arena where you’ll confront Lex Luthor and other bosses. That is if you can survive the traps of LuthorCorp, find your way through maze-like corridors, and survive waves of goons.

Hall of Justice

Every club needs a club house, and the Hall of Justice is just that. Because Superman doesn’t have to do everything on his own. Luckily, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho are there to help him out. However, Lex Luthor considers it “risky” having all those Super Heroes plotting for world peace, so he’s sent his goons to rip up the place, and now it’s time to fight back!

Speed of light and eyes of heat

Superman is all about flying. So, when entering the world of Superman, naturally, you can zig (or zag, it’s up to you) through the skyscrapers of Metropolis.

But you can’t just flit around, hoping to beat your foes with a chilly draft. No, it’s better if you use your strength and bash them to kingdom come, blow them away, or turn up the heat using your Heat Vision. That’ll show ‘em!

Suit up

Obviously, you want to flaunt and flash the classic Superman “S”, so we’re handing out a free Character Creator item – the Superman fan top! Find it in the Dressing Room and show the world whose side you’re on (NOT Lex Luthor’s!).

Superman is here

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Superman! (I simply had to finish with that)

Grab your own Superman DLC, and experience the speed of light, unmatched strength, and how cramped it really is to change clothes inside a phone booth.
