Claim an in-game item with the Treasure Hunt watch challenge!

How goes, Sourdough?  Now hear me out - there’s a reason I’m referring to you as naturally fermented bread with a crispy crust. Sourdough was slang during the late 1800s Gold Rush, referring to an experienced miner who had survived at least one winter. And you’ve survived a few weeks of competitive mining in our multiplayer adventure, Treasure Hunt! Hooray! 

To celebrate all this furious pickaxing and the unearthing of buried treasures, we’re organizing a watch challenge with exciting rewards! Catch up on some Minecraft content and you can claim a loyal pard* – that is, a pet companion (or two!) – to help you dig!  

And if you haven’t tried Treasure Hunt yet? Well, greenhorn**, it’s never been a better time to dig in! We’re challenging you, too, to catch up with some content, and claim a special companion to help you dig. You’ll be racing up to 20 players into the depths of sprawling, ever-shifting mines in pursuit of treasure in no time. The bread and butter of the adventure is mining, while daily challenges, upgrades and abilities keep things fresh. You might not be a sourdough yet, but these mining buddies are sure to help you rise to the challenge! 

The watch challenge 

There are two platforms you can watch Minecraft content on for the challenge. To earn your in-game content, tune in to the following between September 4 (12:00am PT) and September 13, 2026 (11:59pm PT):  

On TikTok, watch Minecraft content on any Game Reward enabled stream for at least 3 minutes while the livestream is live. This nets you the adorable Aqua Cool Fish! 

Too cool for [a] school. See what I did there? 

On Twitch, watch any Twitch Partner or Affiliate streaming in the Minecraft category for at least 5 minutes while the livestream is live. This wins you a dazzling Amethyst Drone! 

It rocks!

Once you’ve reached the required watch time, you’ll receive a redemption code on the platform where you watched the content. Just head to Minecraft.net/redeem and enter your code to claim your content! Make sure to redeem the code by the end of September 13, 2026 (11:59pm PT). (Just like in Treasure Hunt – you snooze, you lose!)
