The last stretch of the New Year sale!

The Universal New Year Celebration is reaching the end of its journey at Minecraft Marketplace! These past two weeks, we’ve trained dragons with Hiccup and Toothless, gone behind the scenes at the in-game Universal Studios Event, and caused maximum mischief with the Minions. It’s been a wild ride so far, but we’re not about to slow down just yet – on the contrary! There are dinosaurs on the loose, and they’re coming from the original Jurassic World DLC.
Let’s make use of that 33% off discount*, pick up the final free in-game Character Creator items, and head to Isla Nublar before things get out of hand!
Final stop: the original Jurassic World DLC
If you’re allergic to goosebumps, steer clear of Isla Nublar! My blocky feet have barely touched land before I’m covered in shivers. But then again, I’m standing at the gates of the iconic Jurassic World – of course I have goosebumps! And that’s not all. I’m about to tick off another childhood dream: running my very own dinosaur park. That’s right. You’re looking at the new park manager! Sniffers, move over – dinosaurs are the new mobs in town. 60 different kinds to be exact, but who’s counting? Not me, because...
I’m already on a minecart speeding across the park! I’m told to go straight to the Innovation Center but since I’m in charge I decide not to. I’ve waited two weeks and three stops on our Universal New Year’s Celebration to see the giant Mosasaurus jumping out of the water to gulp down a shark(!). With a hotdog in one hand and some new merch from the shops in the other, I stumble upon the exact spot where a visitor got to see the inside of a dinosaur in the movies... I’m finally ready to tackle my first day at work!
Claire Dearing, Dr. Wu, and the team show me how to run things in the control room. There have been issues with breakouts (dinosaurs) and break-ins (saboteurs!), so currently the park is closed and pretty much empty. My first mission: dig up some dinosaur DNA to fill the park again!
Simon Masrani and I take his chopper to one of the dig sites. My experience with brushing for sherds in the Overworld is about to pay off! My lack of parkour skills is not. I didn’t think you needed parkour for paleontology school but that’s probably why I didn’t get to graduate... Luckily nobody here has read my resume yet!
After some stomach-churning jumps atop very unsupported support beams, we’re back at the lab with my findings. Time to make some dinosaurs! There are five steps to bringing a dinosaur back from extinction. Apart from extracting the DNA, naming the baby dinosaur is my favorite part (say hi to Thesaurus!).
I’m told the full procedure is for park employees only, so let’s talk about something else. Like how I built a new aviary, stunned a Spinosaurus with darts, and even trained some Raptors with a clicker! But I can’t give you many tips on the Indominous rex. Especially not when it breaks out of its enclosure and chases visitors. Oops! I probably shouldn’t have said that.
Maybe my management tactics have been a bit controversial here at Jurassic World, but you try getting stuck in a storm with an apex predator breathing down your neck! Use your 33% off the original Jurassic World DLC before January 8 to test out your own park management skills, or just to see a dinosaur be born! And if anybody asks, I do have a driver’s license for those offroad vehicles.
