In early 2026, the Vertex nuking group and its Nukie Bear project were reported to Discord by ARAS, leading to the termination of their servers, bots, and key accounts about two weeks later. This dealt a major setback to one of the largest Realm nuking groups and significantly slowed attacks, though they have not fully stopped.
In recent months, attention has gathered more than ever on the Vertex nuking group and their project, Nukie Bear, a project focused on the manual and automated nuking of Realms.
On January 25th, 2026, reports were filed by ARAS (All Realms Are Safe) to Discord reporting the Vertex and Nukie groups along with their bot accounts. 15 days later, on <t:1770413100:f>, Discord reviewed the report and determined that Vertex and Nukie were acting against the Discord Terms of Service and therefore terminated the servers, bots, and accounts (104xVision + TSL) operated by the Vertex team.
Nova Ghoul, the ARAS Movement Lead who made the report made the following comment when asked about the situation:
"With my leadership, All Realms Are Safe launched a 12 day long attack against these malicious groups, communicating with Discord and Minecraft Support staff. The termination marks a significant step forward for the Bedrock community. ARAS remains dedicated to protecting MCBE and ensuring that Realms remain a safe space for players. While this news is encouraging, our work to protect realm owners continues."
Nova Ghoul, ARAS Movement Lead
This event marks a great step forward in Realm safety and security. While nuking continues to this day, the rate has slowed significantly, and one of the largest nuking groups has been set back.
