Minecraft Education expanded to Android phones and tablets, iPhones, and iPod touch, giving more learners access beyond the previously supported classroom devices. Multiplayer improvements accompanied the broader platform support.
World Generation
Caves & Cliffs: Part II
Education gained the larger caves, higher mountains, and revised terrain generation introduced by Caves & Cliffs: Part II. Lush Caves, Dripstone Caves, and the new mountain environments supplied more varied settings for exploration and building activities.
The expanded vertical world made underground structures and surface terrain part of a much larger landscape.
Classroom Tools
NPC Skins
Twenty-five new NPC skins added agriculture, business, everyday-work, and kiosk characters. Their designs gave creators more choices for presenting an activity’s setting and instructions.
Coding Interfaces
WebSocket Agent and Code Builder interface additions supported development and coding activities. These tools extend what creators can do with the Agent and its connection to a lesson.
Other Highlights
RenderDragon updated the rendering foundation. The release combined platform availability, multiplayer, classroom characters, and the 1.18 terrain changes rather than focusing solely on mobile controls.
