World Generation
Pale Garden
The Pale Garden is a muted woodland filled with Pale Oak trees, pale foliage, and moss. Animals do not spawn naturally here, and the biome’s lack of background music makes its nighttime sounds more noticeable. Pale Moss covers the forest floor, while Pale Hanging Moss drapes from the trees.

Creaking
A naturally spawned Creaking is tied to a Creaking Heart hidden inside a tree. It advances when players look away and freezes when watched. Ordinary attacks do not kill a heart-linked Creaking; instead, particles reveal the direction of its heart.
Find and destroy that heart to make the associated Creaking collapse. A Creaking created with a Spawn Egg or /summon is not protected by this link. Illagers also flee from the mob. [1]

Pale Oak Wood Set
Pale Oak Log
Pale Oak adds a light-colored wood set with Logs, Wood, stripped forms, Planks, Stairs, Slabs, Fences, Fence Gates, Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, Pressure Plates, Signs, and Hanging Signs. Pale Oak Boats and Chest Boats extend the set to travel.
Plant four Saplings in a 2 × 2 arrangement to grow a tree. Player-grown trees do not generate Pale Hanging Moss.
Moss and Eyeblossoms
Pale Moss Block
- Pale Moss Blocks and Carpets create pale ground cover. Carpets can extend up adjoining solid block faces, and Bone Meal fills out that coverage.
- Pale Hanging Moss grows with Bone Meal and cannot be climbed.
- Eyeblossoms open at night and close during the day, with nearby flowers helping one another transition. In dimensions without a day/night cycle, they retain their transported state.
- Open and Closed Eyeblossoms provide Orange and Gray Dye respectively, and different effects when used in Suspicious Stew. Open Eyeblossoms can poison Bees.
Creaking Hearts and Resin
Creaking Heart
Place a Creaking Heart between two correctly aligned Pale Oak Logs to activate it. Attacking its linked Creaking makes Resin Clumps appear around the tree, connecting the encounter to a new building material.
- Nine Resin Clumps craft a Block of Resin.
- Smelt Clumps into Resin Bricks for Resin Bricks, Stairs, Slabs, Walls, and Chiseled Resin Bricks.
- Resin Bricks can also color Armor Trims.
- A Creaking Heart can be crafted from two Pale Oak Logs and a Block of Resin.
