Tiny Takeover
Tiny Takeover gives Minecraft’s smallest mobs a personality of their own. Redesigned babies bring new shapes, textures, sounds, and animations to the world, while Golden Dandelions let you keep a favorite companion young. Craftable Name Tags make it easier to give each one a name.
The first game drop of 2026 was released on March 24, 2026, as Java Edition 26.1 and Bedrock Edition 26.10.

Blocks and Items
Golden Dandelion
Golden Dandelion
- Crafted from 1 Dandelion surrounded by 8 Gold Nuggets.
- Use one on an eligible baby mob to pause its growth. Use another to let it grow again.
- Green particles move downward when growth stops and upward when it resumes.
- Cannot keep baby Villagers or undead babies young. Bedrock’s restrictions also exclude monsters.
- Bedrock Edition also allows Golden Dandelions to be bought from Wandering Traders and placed in Flower Pots.
Craftable Name Tags
Name Tag
- Crafted with 1 Paper and 1 metal nugget.
- Gives players a renewable way to name mobs without relying on loot or trading.
- Java’s Master Librarians no longer sell Name Tags, offering Red and Yellow Candles instead.
Sounds
Trumpet Note Blocks
Note Block
- Place a Note Block on a Copper Block to play the new trumpet instrument.
- Its tone changes with the oxidation stage of the block underneath.
