Copper, Collaborate & Compete
Copper, Collaborate & Compete brought copper features, mounted combat, and new multiplayer support to Education. This Minecraft Education update released as 1.21.132, with its rollout dated February 17, 2026.
Mobs and Automation
The Copper Age Features
Copper Golems and Copper Chests brought item-sorting interactions into Education worlds. The expanded Copper set included equipment, lighting, decorative blocks, and oxidizing variants, while Shelves supported displays and inventory swapping.
These features provide materials for storage builds, machines, and classroom challenges based on resource organization.
Items and Exploration
Mounts of Mayhem Features
Spears, Nautiluses, Nautilus Armor, Netherite Horse Armor, Parched, and Camel Husks expanded combat and travel. The shared feature set covers the Bedrock changes through 1.21.132, including The Copper Age and Mounts of Mayhem.
The Lava Chicken Music Disc, originally added earlier in Bedrock 1.21.93, also joined Education’s content selection.
Multiplayer and Classroom Tools
Dedicated Servers
Dedicated server support added another way to host multiplayer activities. It accompanied the new gameplay content rather than being a separate game drop.
Coding Changes
Python Notebooks was removed as a supported IDE. The change affects existing coding activities and distinguishes this Education release from the consumer-edition updates whose gameplay it includes.
Later Improvements
Version 1.21.133 enabled Dedicated Server chat logging, updated sign-in security, improved Code Builder stability, and fixed bugs. These refinements followed the initial February 17, 2026 release.
