Village & Pillage
Village & Pillage rebuilt village life and added a new threat at its doorstep. It arrived as Java Edition 1.14 and Bedrock Edition 1.11.0, on April 23, 2019.
World Generation
Redesigned Villages
Villages gained architecture that reflects their biome, with new buildings and a clearer role for Beds, Bells, and job-site blocks. Plains, Desert, Savanna, Taiga, and Snowy villages each brought a distinct appearance.
Pillager Outposts added another surface structure and a new source of hostile encounters.
Mobs and Trading
Villagers and Wandering Traders
Villagers gained revised professions, clothing, trading, and work routines. Their job-site blocks connect a profession to an actual workplace, while trading progression rewards continued interaction.
Wandering Traders travel with Trader Llamas and offer supplies away from settled villages.
Pillagers, Ravagers, and Raids
Pillagers wield Crossbows, and 
Ravagers provide a heavy threat during Raids. Raid encounters turn a Village into a place players can defend, bringing several Illager enemies together in waves.
Wildlife
Foxes, Pandas, and expanded Cat variants added more animal life. Sweet Berry Bushes and Bamboo supplied food and regional plants associated with these additions.
Blocks and Building
The expanded workstation set included Blast Furnaces, Smokers, Stonecutters, Grindstones, Lecterns, Looms, Cartography Tables, and more. Lanterns and Campfires provided lighting and atmosphere, while Scaffolding made construction access easier.
Items and Combat
Crossbow
Crossbows introduced a ranged weapon with its own loading and enchantment behavior. Together with raids and new utility blocks, the update changed village defense as well as everyday building.
Edition Differences
Java 1.14 and Bedrock 1.11.0 launched the named update on April 23, 2019, with PlayStation 4 version 1.91 following on June 3. Bedrock’s broader feature set was distributed across several earlier and later releases, so the name does not imply that every listed feature first appeared in 1.11.0.
